PATIENT & CAREGIVER RESOURCES

Letter to the FA Community

Dear FA community,

As we reflect on the past year, we want to thank you for your continued engagement, thoughtful questions and willingness to share your experiences with us. Through our conversations with individuals living with FA, families, caregivers and advocacy partners, we’ve gained valuable perspectives that continue to inform our research and how we engage with the community.

We continue to advance our Phase 1b FALCON clinical trial, an open-label, dose-finding study designed to evaluate the safety and tolerability of SGT-212. SGT-212 is an investigational gene therapy designed to address the neurologic, cardiac and systemic manifestations of FA.

Since our last community update, five participants have received SGT-212, with no treatment-related serious adverse events observed as of November 3, 2026. Our participating clinical trial sites, The Ohio State University, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and UCLA, are active and enrolling study participants.

We are immensely grateful to the individuals and families who have chosen to participate in FALCON. Their commitment is helping advance our understanding of investigational gene therapies for FA. We also want to recognize the Friedreich’s Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA) for their leadership, collaboration and commitment to advancing research on behalf of the FA community.

For the most up-to-date information about the clinical trial, we encourage you to visit ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT07180355). FARA also has details about SGT-212 and FALCON, which can be found here.

Beyond our clinical research, we remain committed to listening to the FA community, understanding what matters most to individuals and families living with FA, and providing educational resources that support informed decision making. We have recently developed an educational brochure, which provides information about investigational gene therapies for FA, how gene therapies are studied in clinical trials and important considerations associated with gene therapy research. We also invite you to visit the FA section of our website to hear stories directly from members of the community and explore additional educational resources.

If you have questions or would like to connect with our patient advocacy team, please reach out to us at community@solidbio.com.

Thank you again for your continued trust, engagement and partnership. We look forward to staying connected and working toward a future with more treatment options for people living with FA.

Warm regards,
The Patient Advocacy Team
